When the turducken showed up this week in Preteena, I assumed Allison Barrows was a homestarrunner.com fan. Sadly, I can't assume that anymore. It's not a concoction from the King of Town, and it's not a legend. According to wikipedia, the turducken exists. Somebody pass the Maalox.

My personal Thanksgiving tradition is an osturduckenen. They are absolutely delicious. I am surprised that you have never heard of one.

The mind reels. I'd love to know where you're located and if you have any pics of this culinary delight. Something tells me Weight Watchers coach would NOT approve. ;o)

I do not have pictures yet. Maybe I will take some this year. If I do not fall asleep at the table. I have not checked with Weight Watchers, but the ostrich is supposed to be really lean compared to other meats. Same goes for the hen (that's the last "en" in the name). So it can't be that bad. Certainly not much worse than a regular turducken. Plus, if you are really worried about health, I suppose you can always take the skin off while you are deboning. But that would make no sense since a lot of the taste is in the skin.

I dunno about duck, but the turkey's supposed to be pretty lean too. Wow.

I'm quite serious. If you're really having one this year, and you'll send a pic to me at tr6r@comcast.net, I'll be glad to post it here. Because something like that is just too good not to share.
